Please accept this as your official invitation to attend the Internationally NORMECA DISASTER and PREPAREDNESS MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE, which will be held near Oslo, Norway, June 19 -21, 2006

The conference features over 24 international expert speakers who will address a variety of highly interesting topics covering the before, during and after issues from the recent years major disasters, such as the 9/11, tsunami, the Pakistani, Hanshin and Awaji earthquakes. What are the lessons learned, and how we can be better prepared for the next disaster?

Our conferences have attracted professionals from Europe, USA and Asia over the past years and have become renowned within the industry as an outstanding forum for the discussion and exchange of ideas with fellow professionals. We are now able to pinpoint exactly the right individuals and bring peer groups together in a constructive environment.

Based on past experiences, the participants are higher level Governmental officials; senior officers representing various defence medical services, as well as representatives from the authorities, experts in the disaster preparedness and crisis management; medical and service personnel from both hospitals and humanitarian aid organizations, as well as representatives from Emergency and Police Forces.

To complement the conference programme, we will feature an EXPO conveniently located to the conference. The expo will provide the delegates with the opportunity for “hands-on” product inspection, and discuss needs and solutions with the suppliers’ technical personnel.

The conference is sponsored by NORMECA AS and includes 3 full day conference participation, meals and refreshments, admission to the expo, transportation in Norway, sightseeing and a pre conference “getting acquainted event” on Sunday, June 18, 2006, as well as a Conference banquet to be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2006. Accommodation is not included, but has been arranged, on a first come first served basis, at the conference site, at an advantageous rate of NOK 1450 per night for a single room with breakfast.
