NORMECA AS establishes hospital in Pakistan.

In the end of October, NORMECA AS signed a contract with the government of Cuba to deliver and establish a mobile hospital in Muzzafarabad, Pakistan. Included was the training of Cuban personnel.

The mobile hospital was sent from Norway a few days after signing the contract by plane to Islamabad and transported by trucks to the assigned site at Muzzafarabad. In a few days the hospital was operational and the Cuban personnel could start taking patients.

The mobile hospital is established using tents and consists of Triage/Reception, Operation Theatre, ICU with 6 beds, X-ray, Lab, Nursing, Eye department and a bed post with 22 beds. In addition, the hospital is equipped with kitchen and dining room and has all necessary water and power supply, showers and toilets etc.
